Adani's wedding expenses surpass Ambani's salary.

Among the prominent wealthy businessmen in India are Adani and Ambani. Last year, Mukesh Ambani spent nearly ₹5,000 crore on the grand wedding of his youngest son, Anant Ambani, which was a lavish affair. This event caused a stir, with Mumbai bustling with guests from both India and abroad. However, in 2025, another wealthy individual from India, Gautam Adani, the chairman of Adani Group, held the wedding of his youngest son, Jeet Adani. Unlike Ambani, Adani did not conduct his son’s wedding with grand extravagance. Instead, he kept the ceremony simple and announced a generous donation of ₹10,000 crore.

A major part of this donation will be directed towards healthcare, education, and skill development. The focus will be on making better hospitals and medical colleges accessible to people across all sections of society. The funds will also be used to upgrade global skills academies. Adani shared wedding photos of his son on his Twitter account but also apologized for not inviting many close relatives. He mentioned that the wedding took place in Ahmedabad, following traditional customs and with a "Shubh Mangal Bhav" (auspicious atmosphere) in the presence of close loved ones.

Before the wedding, Adani Group launched the "Mangal Seva" initiative. It was announced that every year, financial assistance would be provided to 500 disabled women who get married. According to information from the Adani Group, each of these women would receive ₹10 lakh as financial support to start their new life. Jeet Adani personally met 25 newlywed disabled women and their husbands and provided them with financial aid.
